Originally designed in Paris and woven in Flanders around 1500 AD, the series depicts a noble Lady flanked by a Lion and a Unicorn in a series of allegorical scenes. In Sense of Hearing, the Lady plays a portable organ with the assistance of a handmaid, surrounded by small animals against a rich, deep blue millefleur field.
